Hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day long-weekend! As we enter into a new month, June, I say goodbye to another intense, too much to do, but very exciting, and highly productive month!
Collectormania 5 in Milton Keynes. Its a long way to fly for a weekend, but Jason Joiner runs such a good show; it was worth the long hike. He has excellent staff working for him, and you couldn't have asked for better Hosts in the Hotel we all stayed at. I was further spoilt by MacanneX, Apple Service and Solution Providers. the Computer firm attached to the show. Ray gave me tutorials, and programs for my G4 iBook Laptop, for free! That kind of generosity is a very rare thing these days. So many thanks to you Macannex! If anyone out there needs fabulous computer genius, you can find a link here on my website, in links.... www.macannex.co.uk... Other highlights of the weekend were the many eclectic and interesting Guests. We all enjoyed chatting, eating good food, and drinking together. I even managed to ignore my jet lag, and made it into the wee hours on the Saturday night! Really good to catch up with my N.Z, Lord of the Rings, colleagues. Reconnecting with Christy Swanson, who I did the feature film Soul Assassin with in Amsterdam in 2000, and meeting other very kewl Actors for the first time. Even saw an old buddy of mine from my London days in the 80's, a real treat! Back in Los Angeles. I have completed my acting work on the independent feature film "Deadly", directed by Joel Bender, starring Laura Prepon, from "That 70's Show". She is the leading female, and is an absolute babe, and a joy to work with. I also completed my acting work on the short film "Leela", written and directed by Malik Booth. I had a blast doing voice over work for Lucasfilm, on their new video game, recently launched, called; "Republic Commando". Always a pleasure to revisit the babe of an alien, Taun We! Did an interesting interview for a documentary re Film Images of the South Pacific. I was recently a Guest of Honor for a Friends of Tahiti club here in California, which was a lot of fun! I've also been hard at work, working in the capacity of Script Consultant, and Script Editor, on the screenplay of "Behind the Tattooed Face", the NZ epic period drama I am producing, that brings with it an on-going workload. But even though the work can getting tiring, it is such an inspired piece, and I so believe in it, passion and purpose flow freely, and it also brings much excitement and joy! This past month, I also auditioned for a very exciting studio film, but until I hear more, mum's the word on it; along with the other film my Agent is currently in negotiations for later this year. All will be announced once contracts are signed. By the way, if I mention an audition, and you hear nothing more, it means, I didn't get the job?! Well that's me for the month of May, here's to the month of June, and whatever it may bring! God bless you all! |
