When Love Comes (1998)
Katie Keen

Synopsis
This intelligent New Zealand drama takes on the great joys of life--friendship, sex, and love--and explores the ways that they can become the great pains of life as well. WHEN LOVE COMES, directed by the acclaimed Kiwi auteur Garth Maxwell (JACK BE NIMBLE) tells the story of 6 good friends--singer Katie, her gay best friend and roommate Stephen, former hustler Mark, hedonistic rockers Fig and Sally, and Katie's admirer, Eddie. A drama of emotional complexity and humor, this film is warm and engaging even while exploring heady topics.
